Chico Creative Reuse accepts new and slightly used, clean, usable, sorted and safe materials that can be creatively reused for art

🎨 Art & Craft Supplies

• Paint (acrylic, watercolor, tempera), inks, and dyes
• Brushes, palettes, canvas, panels, and frames
• Drawing supplies: pencils, markers, pens, charcoal, pastels
• Paper goods: cardstock, sketchbooks, specialty papers, scrapbooking materials
• Stamps, stencils, stickers, washi tape, embellishments

✂️ Fabric, Fiber & Sewing Materials

• Fabric (cotton, denim, upholstery, felt, etc.)
• Yarn, thread, embroidery floss
• Sewing notions: buttons, zippers, ribbon, trims, lace
• Patterns, sewing tools, knitting and crochet supplies

📦 Office, School & Teaching Supplies

• Binders, folders, notebooks, journals
• Pens, highlighters, rulers, scissors
• Craft kits (opened or unopened, with usable contents)

🧵 Miscellaneous Creative Materials

• Beads, jewelry-making supplies, wire
• Small hardware and fasteners (nuts, bolts, hinges)
• Wood pieces, dowels, small scraps
• Cardboard tubes, packaging materials, foam, cork
• Plastic containers, lids, spools, and interesting shapes

🖼️ Found Objects & Upcycling Materials

• Picture frames
• Small household items suitable for art projects
• Unusual or hard-to-categorize materials with creative potential

Materials We Can Not Accept:

To keep our space safe and accessible, we cannot accept:

• Broken, moldy, or heavily soiled items
• Hazardous materials (chemicals, solvents, aerosols)
• Electronics or appliances
• Food, cosmetics, or personal care items
• Furniture
